Have I discovered God’s ultimate blueprint? Well, my personal story and the discovery it led up to will probably blow your mind, as it did mine.
My name is Gideon Loots. The day I fully surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, on the 8th of February 2003, was the day the stirring started. I just knew that God had to have a blueprint that would simplify living the Christian life and simplify completing our mission on earth.
Searching for the Mystery of God’s Heart
I had this deep sense within: The God of the universe, the creator of heaven and of earth, He is not a random God that leaves things to chance. He is the God that told Moses “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain (Heb 8:5, Exo 25:40).”
Is there then a blueprint in scripture for our spiritual growth and for how things should function in our lives? If there is, why would God not want us to discover it?
Without realising it, the Holy Spirit led me to search for His blueprint from the start. I believe this was a great part of my calling and the way I was put together. Having been diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, I am extremely sensitive to pattern recognition.
When I read my Bible, I couldn’t help but look out for patterns. My first attempt at finding an overarching pattern in scripture was when I tried to underline the whole Bible according to the full armour of God found in Ephesians 6.
I would lay this pursuit on the altar many times and give it up in frustration, only for God to resurrect it again. In these times, as I surrendered my search, He would give me another revelation that I wasn’t seeking. It was undeniable that God’s Spirit kept nudging me forward.
The Breakthrough Revelation
In 2009, 6 years after my search first began, I had the most profound experience that took this study to a whole new level. While in worship, I had an open vision experience and I saw the Lord’s face. It was as if He peered into the building where we were gathered.
As I was staring into His face, the scripture came to mind: “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Cor 3:18)”
As I saw Him, I kept saying, ‘I deny myself, I want more of you God’. And as I kept saying this, the vision grew more vivid to the point that I could see Him with my eyes open. I cannot describe the ecstatic joy I felt. The creator of the universe is looking at us and He is smiling.
I remember thinking: This is it; nothing can beat beholding His glorious face! My body was intensely shaking under the power of God. I thought to myself ‘This must look really strange to others’. But I then just said again, ‘I deny myself, I want more of you God’.
This experience got so intense that it literally felt like gravity was going to lose its grip on me and I was going to be caught up into the air right there and then. At the most intense moment, I saw God’s flaming hands enter the building where we were gathered.
I followed His hands with my eyes as they moved towards the people that were standing in front of me. They looked like they had the outline and glow of golden living stones all around them, and the scripture came to mind: “you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house… (1 Peter 2:5)” I knew that the glory of His face somehow contained the pattern for both spiritual growth and the building of His house.
The Pattern of Sevens
After this experience, everything in scripture started to make sense: Jesus Christ is the pattern! I also received the impression that the white light of His presence is refracted into the 7 colours of the rainbow.
I started seeing the pattern of sevens throughout scripture. The first seven that stood out was the seven ministry gifts in Romans 12, then the seven days of creation week, the seven Spirits of God in Isaiah 11, and on and on.
During this time, I came across Watchman Nee’s book The Mystery of Creation, which further revealed to me the symbolic meaning of the seven days of creation week. Through this book, I discovered that the seven days represented seven stages of spiritual growth. Was this what I was looking for: the blueprint for spiritual growth? But I felt like the book lacked clarity in some places, like there were still many missing pieces.
Light: The Code that Unlocks the Mystery
At one stage, I got so caught up in trying to fit the puzzle pieces of the sevens together. Some of the puzzle pieces in my study just didn’t seem to fit.
I got to a point of frustration, and I cried out to God. At that moment, I felt the Holy Spirit put a thought in my spirit: “Find where the sequence of the seven days matches with the sequence of the seven colours of the rainbow, and you will find the answer.”
This revelation was like a code that unlocked a combination safe. I had to just turn the dial to the point where the colours of the rainbow align perfectly with the days of creation. From that day on, all the puzzle pieces started falling into place naturally.
In Diagram 1, the seven colours are in sequence from highest to lowest frequency.
If you try to match these colours as is with the sequence of the seven days, there is no natural fit. The plants that were created on Day 3 have no natural fit with the colour blue, the lights created on Day 4 do not fit with the colour green, etc.
But in Diagram 2, what happens when you move the dial of colours back by just one position anticlockwise? A perfect match:
Finally, this study made sense. The code of colour added an extra layer of interpretive clarity. Colour has symbolic meaning in scripture. These symbolic meanings are what helped me see which item fits with which naturally in all the lists of sevens. The missing puzzle pieces of God’s blueprint started to fall into place.
God Wants Life and Action Not Mere Knowledge
Before I continue the story of how this study was taken deeper with the 12 colours of the colour wheel, I want to share the story of how SIRIT-GYM TRAINING was birthed.
On the 1st of May 2017, I had a profound dream that marked another pivotal moment on my journey. In this dream, I didn’t see anything, like my eyes were closed. I got the sense that I needed to hear what the Lord wanted me to hear rather than to see.
In the dream, I clearly heard the voice of the late prophet Bob Jones. He said to me: “No dream is a pipe dream. Every dream is a battle for significance.” As he said this, I understood what he was saying. Every dream you dream while asleep has meaning; no dream is empty. We must pay attention to every dream, regardless of where it comes from. They either let you know what is going on in your heart and mind, what the enemy is targeting in your life, or what the Lord is saying to you.
I got the sense that we should contend to clear up our dream life by clearing up our thought life. Dreams let us know what is going on in our subconscious mind, what sin or fear the enemy wants to target, or what the Lord wants to do in our lives. We need to pay attention to every dream.
Bob then continued: “Exercise yourself unto godliness”. I understood that we should treat spiritual disciplines like an athlete training for a goal. I knew that if I wanted to go to greater levels in my relationship and experience with the Lord, I needed to train for it.
I then heard Bob say: “spirit gym“. I understood that this will be a space where we would train our spiritual senses with friends and we would call this “spirit gym”. This would be like a natural gym but where we do spiritual exercises. As the following scriptures say:
“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
~ Hebrews 5:14 NKJV
“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”
~ 1 Timothy 4:7 KJV
Before this dream, I thought I should write a book on the revelations I was receiving. But after this dream, I knew what God was telling me: mere knowledge about His blueprint is not what He wants. He wants doers of His word, not hearers only. I now knew I was writing a training course and not a book.
The Mystery of the Colour Wheel
In 2018, 15 years after I first started this study, I started seeing an interesting link between the seven days of creation week and the 12 colours of the colour wheel.
If you look at the seven days, you will notice an interesting pattern: The Day 1 light and the Day 4 lights are related. The Day 2 sky and the Day 5 birds in the sky are related. The Day 3 plants that the earth brought forth and the Day 6 man that was formed from the dust of the earth are related. The Day 4 lights that indicate the appointed seasons days and years and the Day 7 appointed day of rest are related.
If you match the days with their corresponding colours and plot them where they fit on the colour wheel, you will see that these related days are right across from one another.
In colour theory, the colours that are across from one another on the colour wheel are called complementary colours. If you add the other lists of seven where they belong with their respective colours on the colour wheel, you can clearly see how they complement each other.
For example, blue represents the Day 2 sky and the wind of the Spirit as the wisdom of God that leads and guides us. Orange represents the Day 5 birds as symbolic of the power and ability of the Holy Spirit that is represented as both fire and a dove.
The gift of Romans 12 that fits with blue is the gift of leading and the gift that fits with orange is the gift of serving (by the ability of God – 1 Pe 4:11). The complementary nature of these two gifts is obvious. This is just one example, but we will cover the other gifts in detail later in SPIRIT-GYM TRAINING.
The Mystery of the Number 144
Around the same time I saw the link between the colour wheel and the seven days of creation week, the Lord started speaking to my wife Charmaine about the number 144. She started seeing the number pop up everywhere. At first, I suspected that she was just seeing this number because she was looking out for it. Later, I could not deny that God’s hand was orchestrating this.
In one instance, I was parking the car at the grocery store as she was busy telling me about how the Lord spoke to her about the number. As I was about to get out of the car, I looked up at a sign with the number 144 on it. This type of thing kept on happening over and over until I was thoroughly convinced.
Later, the Lord revealed to her that we were called to be part of Ministry 144. Charmaine gets excited about revelations like this, but I only get exited if I understand what things mean. She kept going on and on about this number. I just listened, but never really understood why she was so excited.
Because I received the revelation about the colour wheel, which has 12 colours, and I knew that the number 12 is a reoccurring theme with the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21, I also knew that this somehow had to be related.
I was already in my first year of SPIRIT-GYM TRAINING when one of the students offered to pay for a graphic designer to put the concepts into visuals to make it easier to grasp. I thought to myself: I don’t want to do graphic representations that look like something that has missing teeth. If there are 12 items in this study and not only 7, why can’t I just trust the Lord to reveal the rest to me?
I was absolutely blown away. In November 2020 the Lord revealed the full pattern of 12 to me in one month. It was right under my nose; I just didn’t notice it.
The seven days of creation week in Genesis are subdivided into 12 sections. On Days 1 and 2, only one thing was created on each day. On Days 3, 5, and 6, there were two things made on each day. On Day 4 and Day 7, two significant things are highlighted that also divide these days into two each. Add it all up, and you get to 12.
I saw that the seven stages of spiritual growth can also be subdivided into 12 stages of spiritual growth. The New Jerusalem also has 12 gates subdividing the city into 12 sections. But what does this have to do with the number 144?
The Blueprint Revealed
Oden Hetrick’s testimony in his book Inside the Gates of Heaven resonated with me. As I meditated and prayed about the pattern of 12 in scripture, I remembered what Oden said in an interview that is available on YouTube.
He saw the New Jerusalem in a visitation and saw that the main street of gold has 12 spirals that go up towards God’s throne. Please see ‘Last Days Ready Part 1’ for why I believe this is accurate from a purely biblical and logical point of view.
It struck me like lightning: if there are 12 spirals, then we go through the 12 sections of the city 12 times, which adds up to 144! As it dawned on me, I burst out in excitement as I ran to tell Charmaine. I could hardly get the words out I was so excited.
“We are called to Ministry 144; I know what it means!” I shouted. We are called to help the body of Christ progress through the 12 stages of spiritual growth 12 times until we are prepared as a bride for the marriage supper of the Lamb!
The New Jerusalem is the blueprint for spiritual growth that simplifies our growth journey and shows us how to get ready for and complete our mission; and the 7 days of creation week give us the detail of what those 12 stages are.
The revelation of God’s blueprint is found when we combine the opening two chapters of the Bible with the closing two chapters of the Bible! God truly declared the end from the beginning!

WOW! Have I really discovered God’s ultimate blueprint?
